From Kaisley’s forever family….
I have the mother to your cute little puppy you purchased from the flea market or the pet store or out of the newspaper. Her name is Kaisley. I gave her a name because chances are she’s never had one. You should meet her. She’s very sweet but because of the lack of human touch and interaction with people throughout her life, she’s very scared and timid. It’s taking her awhile to trust but she’s learning, so don’t worry.I have the mother to your new puppy. She didn’t know what grass was and she was scared of it when she got here. She didn’t know how it felt to walk on it, her feet had only ever walked on thin, rusty, hard wire. It took 2 weeks for her to have the courage to step on that grass, but she did it, so don’t worry.
I have the mother to your new puppy. She had no idea what a bed was, she had only ever had a wet, mildewed, feces and urine soaked plywood box to sleep in. I bought her a bed. It took almost a week before she got the courage to climb in that soft warm bed, but she did it, so don’t worry.I have the mother to your new puppy. She was dirty with feces, urine and rust from the wire hutch that held her 3 feet off the ground. She was matted and wet from the rain. Her toenails were long and painful. She was infested with fleas. She was bathed and the mats were removed, she was given flea prevention and her nails were trimmed so she could walk without pain, so don’t worry.
I have the mother to your new puppy. Several of her teeth were rotted and her eyes were runny from lack of proper veterinary care. She was provided the medical care she desperately needed, several of her teeth were pulled and she was given antibiotics, so don’t worry.
I have the mother to your new puppy. She was forced to live in a rusty wire hutch with a male so that she could continuously be bred and produce litter after litter of puppies only to be ripped away from her…the siblings to your new puppy. She didn’t know what it was like to be a dog, to play with toys or run around in the sunshine or cuddle up on a couch or go for walks with a real family. She has been spayed so that she will never have to go through that again, so don’t worry.
I have the mother to your new puppy. She tucks her tail and rolls to her side when strangers reach to pet her because she has been deprived of proper socialization with people. I am working with her everyday to show her that it’s ok to accept a loving touch from people she doesn’t know. She goes to work with me everyday so that she can meet new people and improve her socialization. She’s learning every single day and has made friends with everyone here, so don’t worry.I have the mother to your new puppy and her name is Kaisley, so don’t worry, she’s going to be just fine. She will get to run in the grass everyday, she will sleep in a warm bed every night, she will never again know the abuse of neglect and being ignored, she will never again be treated as a commodity, one day she will untuck her tail and run to meet people when they reach out their hand to her, so don’t you worry. When you look at your new puppy, you should worry. You should worry about the other moms that aren’t as lucky as Kaisley… you should worry about the moms and dads of all the other puppies you saw at the flea market or the pet store or in the paper while you were shopping for your new puppy, because you see, your new puppy is the product of a puppy mill.Kaisley’s foster Mom
