Puppies.com is a website that lists for thousands and thousands of puppies for sale. The Puppies.com website used to be called PuppyFind.com. A name change and rebranding went into effect March 1, 2022. Puppies.com, LLC is located at 625 Kenmoor Ave SE, Ste 350 PMB 84304, Grand Rapids, MI 49546.
Puppies.com lists thousands and thousands of puppies for sale on their website. They proudly display this number boldly on the “Find a Puppy” page. For this reason alone, we would not recommend using this website to find a puppy.
Puppies.com used to be called Puppyfind.com but changed their name on March 1, 2022. We recommend doing a google search as well as a Better Business Bureau search on PuppyFind.com for more information about their history and before you buy a puppy from this website.
Since Puppies.com is basically an online classified ads website and service for anyone who wants to breed and sell puppies, we do not think it is a reputable place for anyone to buy a puppy. We caution anyone who is looking to buy a puppy. There is little oversight of puppy sellers.
Sellers create an account by purchasing a membership to list puppies for sale. Puppies.com charges a membership fee to the user creating the account, listing the puppies. The users pay anywhere from $29.99 to 199.99 for an annual membership depending on how long they want to list and sell.
This classified ads website for puppies charges fees to people creating accounts. Puppies.com simply provides the template, the buyer and web traffic for anyone who wants to sell a puppy online.
There is no guarantee you will get a healthy puppy, or that you are buying it from a good breeder. There are thousands of puppies being sold on this site. Puppies.com does not guarantee any of the animals or breeders listed on their site.
The buyers and sellers communicate through the Puppies.com message system. Puppy buyers take all of the risk. It is up to the buyer to know and do their research about the person licensed or unlicensed, they are talking with.
We do not recommend buying a puppy based off a picture ever and we never recommend buying a puppy from a website or meeting a breeder in a parking lot or having the puppy shipped to you directly. We do not recommend buying a puppy from the Puppies.com website because it is simply a classified ads user listings. If you have further questions about Puppies.com please feel free to Contact Us or report a sick puppy.
Stop Online Puppy Mills visited six commercial breeders selling puppies online in Lancaster County, PA. Here’s what we found — and what every puppy buyer should know before buying online.
The Ridglan Farms beagles became a national story because thousands of dogs were bred and sold for research and animal testing. But this is not just a research-dog issue. Ridglan Farms operated under the same license held by dog breeders who sell and ship puppies online and supply pet stores..
You’re scrolling through your phone when it happens—an adorable puppy pops up on your feed. Those eyes. That face. The breed you’ve always wanted, just a click away. It feels easy, safe, and modern. But behind that “Buy Now” button is an industry built on suffering that no filter or photo can hide.

We do not recommend relying on Puppies.com to find a responsible breeder.
Puppies.com is a classifieds platform — it does not breed, raise, or sell puppies itself; it simply hosts listings from other sellers. That means every decision is really about the individual seller behind any given listing.
Always meet the mother dog in person and see where all of the breeder’s dogs live before sending any money — if you cannot do that, we recommend finding a different breeder.
We do not recommend buying from classifieds sites like Puppies.com, because the platform does not visibly vet the sellers who post listings.
The range of sources includes hobby breeders, backyard breeders, and large USDA-licensed commercial kennels, and the site does not publicly disclose how, or whether, it verifies each seller’s conditions or licensing.
Common buyer complaints across classifieds sites include puppies arriving with parasites, respiratory infections, or genetic issues that were not disclosed in the listing. Because the site is only a connection point, disputes are typically between the buyer and the seller directly, with limited recourse.
Puppies.com is a legally registered online classifieds platform that has been operating for many years. As a platform, it is legitimate.
But legal does not mean every seller on the platform is safe, transparent, or ethical. Because Puppies.com does not publicly vet every listing, the trustworthiness of any purchase comes down to the individual seller, not the site.
We do not recommend buying a puppy from this website.
Puppies.com hosts listings from a wide range of sellers, including hobby breeders, backyard breeders, and USDA-licensed commercial kennels.
The platform does not publicly detail how, or whether, it verifies each seller’s licensing, breeding conditions, or welfare practices.
That means the burden is on the buyer to identify the specific seller behind each listing and research them independently — full name, physical address, license status, and any USDA-APHIS inspection history.
Puppies.com is not itself a breeding facility — it is a classifieds platform that hosts listings from independent sellers. That means whether a puppy from Puppies.com came from a puppy mill depends entirely on the specific seller behind the listing, not on the site itself.
A puppy mill is any dog breeder that puts profit over the health and well-being of the breeding dogs, and puppy mills can include state and USDA-licensed commercial kennels.
Because Puppies.com accepts listings from a wide range of sellers — hobby breeders, backyard breeders, and commercial kennels — we don’t ever suggest buying a puppy from this site.
