❤️ Why This Matters
Right now, hundreds of thousands of dogs live in USDA licensed commercial dog breeding facilities in the United States.
Current federal standards allow:
🟥 Dogs to live in cages only 6 inches larger than their body for life
🟥 Stacked wire cages
🟥 Unlimited breeding of female dogs
🟥 Sick or injured dogs forced to breed
🟥 Repeat violators to keep operating
Dogs deserve better. See below on how to make change.
📣 What’s Happening Right Now
The U.S. Department of Agriculture is looking at rewriting standards for breeding dogs under the Animal Welfare Act and is asking for public feedback.
This is a rare opportunity to improve:
- housing conditions
- veterinary care
- exercise and socialization
- breeding limits
- enforcement
Public comments directly influence federal rule changes.
